Just as we take care of our bodies, we must also take care and exercise our minds. In this time of isolation and pandemic, it is even more essential to keep our heads busy with healthy habits to avoid stressful or distressing situations. So we recommend 5 habits that will improve your memory.

Listen to more music

In any language you listen to it, when you like the song you end up learning the lyrics of the song and then you sing it even in the bathroom, right? One strategy to memorize some data, and that many people use, is to add music to remember it.

Meditate

We have already told you all the benefits of meditation. Meditating will make you develop your emotional intelligence, your patience, your empathy and will allow you greater serenity. In addition, you will increase activity in the left frontal lobe, which is related to planning, self-control and the inhibition of negative emotions.

Meditation helps focus, concentration. In fact, a study published in PMC, a database of scientific articles, showed that meditation can modify the structure of the brain, developing the areas associated with attention.

Sea diet

A decade ago the sea diet was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity and the benefits of this diet are now associated with the intestinal microbiome and its influence on healthy aging.

Vegetables, fresh fruits, fish, and cereals improve the circulatory system, so more oxygen flows and nutrients get to the brain faster and easier, aiding memory.

Memorize important data out loud

The scientific journal Memory published a study that certifies that people who read information aloud have 15% more retention on that information. Verbalizing tasks or events will help you remember them more easily.

Reduce or avoid alcohol consumption

If you consume alcohol excessively you can resort to hangovers and dehydration. Dehydration can have a negative impact on mental functioning. Reducing alcohol consumption is undoubtedly a healthy habit.
