Nothing beats campus love; I mean it’s one of the most amazing experiences you have to try out. I mean having to date while broke, lying to parents to get an extra hundred shilling to buy some snacks and having picnics on the school scenic areas, walking at night just holding hands and sharing the stresses of academics. However, as great as these relationships may be, they normally do not last past college and they are bound to fail.
Here are reasons why they fail;
1. Cheating
Cheating in college is one of the major things that cause relationships to fail. Since there are many beautiful ladies and handsome guys in college, it is very hard to be faithful to one person.
2. Long distance
The probability of a college relationship lasting past college is very low. This is because upon completion of college each student returns to their home and getting employment means the distance might continue to increase. Maintaining the long distance relationship is rather hard and it is bound to fail if the couple is not committed to each other.
3. Experimentation
College relationships fail since the two in a relationship were not in love and were rather experimenting and did not want to be alone. Therefore, when they get a better person to try out with they are more than happy to walk out of the relationship.
4. Jealousy
Many college relationships tend to fail due to jealousy. Despite the fact that the college is large, news travel fast and one partner may start to feel jealous on hearing or seeing his/her partner with someone else.
5. No future plans
Failing to discuss future plans for the relationship may be a remedy for failure of the relationship. It shows that the couple is not looking past the college relationship to a life time commitment.
