The lie is the affirmation or denial of something contrary to reality or different from it.

Its very essence is deception and its severity depends on the degree of selfishness or evil that engenders it.

It can occur as a spontaneous expression , an easy resource of the moment, or as a planned or premeditated deception ; that is to say, it can be generated by a careless and fanciful attitude in the way of thinking and speaking , or constitute a deliberate deception .

Therefore, to avoid falling into situations of deception or being victims of people with this bad habit, we give you some tips to recognize when someone is lying , by recognizing certain features in their body language , gestures or signs :

1. A person who is lying will avoid eye contact .

2. His physical expression will be limited and rigid , with the arm and some movements of the hand. Hands, arms and leg movements are towards his own body, the liar takes up less space.

3. Use humor or sarcasm to avoid a topic.

4. Expressions are limited to movements of the mouth when someone is faking emotions such as happiness, surprise, sadness, or amazement, rather than the whole face.

5. Shows feelings of guilt or becomes defensive . An innocent person often on the offensive. Also, when confronted, you feel uncomfortable in front of your interlocutor and may turn your head or body away.

Remember that falsehood and deception are very harmful in social , fraternal or couple relationships . It encourages mistrust, suspicion, doubt, disbelief, suspicion. In short, they destroy communication between people.
