7 things you didn’t know about Tv veteran Mzee Ojwang

Mzee Ojwang

1. He was born in 1937 in Nyeri district.
2. His real name is Benson Wanjau.
3. His wife name is Augusta Wanjiru and they are blessed with two children – Patricia Njeri and Michael Kariva.
4. Mzee Ojwang is a Kikuyu.He didn’t know Luo language at all despite his Luo accent while on Vitimbi.
5. He worked as a technician at Mater Hospital then later worked at White Rose dry cleaner in Industrial area.
6. He didn’t finish his high school.Mzee Ojwang dropped out of school when he was in form 2 due to financial constraints.
7. Mzee Ojwang’s family and Mama Kayai’s family ( his “wife” while acting on Vitimbi ) are good friends in real life.

On behalf of Youth Village Kenya , we pray with the family ,friends and relatives this trying moments for the loss of Mzee Ojwang ( Benson Wanjau). He inspired many actors and comedians.His humour was creative.May His Soul Rest In Peace.
