After COVID-19 hit the world in 2019, Kenya was not spared. This resulted to loss of jobs as well as economic melt down.
However, Kenya has been on the frontline to fight the disease and get back things running. And 2021 has been a fair year compared to 2020.
Today, we feature some of the Kenyan celebs who got their dream jobs in 2021 after COVID-19 shut them down in 2019.
1.Victoria Rubadiri
Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiri will take a three-months leave that will give her humble time so as she can travel to the UK to work with BBC News London.

The news were made public by Rubadiri herself at the end of her Sunday Live bulletin alongside her co-presenter Jeff Koinange in September 2021.

Rubadiri, who is the winner of the 2020 Komla Dumor Award, will receive both work experience and training in radio, tv and online news coverage until December 2021.
2.Betty Kyallo
Betty Kyallo has announced that she is back at KTN TV.
The ex KTN anchor made a comeback after she was fired by K24 TV moments after she was poached from her maiden TV, KTN.
Betty made a comeback debut on March 7th in 2021.
3.Jamby
After enduring months of painful surgeries in Kenya and abroad, endometriosis survivor Jamby Koikai made it back on radio again and more than blazzing.
In March 2021, Jamby posted that she will be working with Trace Muziki aka Trace FM, and she will be hosting a reggae show.
She posted a video of herself on the show for the first time with her show dubbed Trace na Doba
4.Eric Omondi
Standard Group handed Comedian Erick Omondi a deal of the year in 2021.
He will be hosting ‘The Big Quiz’ show along Betty Kyallo.
Similarly, ex anchor Betty Kyallo is also or return mission after she was fired from K24 TV in 2020.
Betty Kyallo had ditched KTN after being poached by rivals with a hefty salary.
5.DJ Joe Mfalme
DJ Joe Mfalme won himself a new lucrative job barely a month after he was fired from Homeboyz Radio!
Joe joined Sway’s Universe international station and will be hosting the morning show dubbed #Swayinthemorning on the American-owned music and lifestyle channel.
6.Azziad
Popular Kenyan Tik Tok wizard Azziad in 2021 started her radio career in style .
Azziad is now hosting a morning breakfast show between 6am to 10 am from Monday to Friday on Sound City Sounds.
Sound City is a 24 hours Nigerian owned station that is popular know for news, music videos, live performances and airing regional and International concerts.
Azziad made the good news on her social media platforms .

7.Shiksha Arora
EX K24 anchor will be smiling back to the bank every month after landing a lucrative job.
Shiksha Arora will be coming to your TV screen at 9PM on KBC Channel.
KBC brought in new anchors after rebranding and doing some little prop to spice up the news and entertainment section.
8.Ben Kitili
After 8 years of service at Standard Group owned KTN, journalist and news presenter Ben Kitili exited the show.
Kitili tendered his resignation on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, and is set to join NTV as an editor.
He will be tasked to guiding new anchors and improving the quality of news at his new work place .
He began his journalism career at K24 where he worked as a Sports reporter and anchor. He joined KTN in 2013 after he quit NTV.
