In January 2019, the Government of Kenya and the World Bank signed a Financing Agreement for the implementation of the Kenya Social and Economic Empowerment Project (KSEIP), which consolidates all cash transfer programmes. The project is financed through an IPF of the World Bank and a grant from the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO).
The KSEIP Project Development Objective (PDO) is to strengthen delivery systems for enhanced access to social and economic services and shock responsive safety nets for poor and vulnerable households.
