Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o complained about how he felt Safarilink local airline overcharged him on unreasonable fare.
According to him, the fare that was imposed on him, Ksh.19,000 was way too much than the usual Ksh.5,000 to 7,000.
The governor went ahead to forbid all the Kisumu County government staff to shun away from flying with the said airline.
I am issuing this statement to protest the excessively high flight charges by
@Flysafarilink . In view of this, I have instructed the staff of the
@KisumuCountyKE Government not to use Safarilink for any trip, from today, 9th February, 2023.
However on their side, the airline claimed that the governor had made a late booking which attracted an expensive ticket. Besides the airline claimed that it had been linen on the said politician when he had run late to catch the flight.
