Former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant and prominent cleric Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has unleashed a scathing critique against President William Ruto and his administration, following the recent raid on her Jesus Is Alive Ministries church. In a fiery statement, Wanjiru accused the government of betrayal and condemned the violent actions taken against her congregation.

Expressing deep disappointment, Wanjiru emphasized the support her church had extended to Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, only to be met with what she described as betrayal and brutality. “We loved you, we voted for you, we supported you but you’ve rewarded us with broken legs, arms, hurting bodies. You truly have rewarded us with evil,” she exclaimed.

Wanjiru’s frustration peaked as she recounted a recent event where she and other church leaders had come together at Nyayo Stadium to repent for past sins, including those committed against Benny Hinn, a respected figure in the Christian community. Despite seeking forgiveness, Wanjiru questioned whether the government’s actions aligned with the revival they had hoped for, citing instances of land grabbing by government officials.

Directing her ire at President Ruto and Deputy President Gachagua, Wanjiru issued a chilling warning, vowing not to retreat in the face of adversity. “You went for Benny Hinn in America but for me, you will look for me and I am not moving and I am not going anywhere. I will be here,” she declared defiantly.

Asserting her unwavering resolve, Wanjiru hinted at divine intervention, suggesting that the battle transcended earthly realms. “You have started a fight that you cannot fight; this one is in the heavens,” she proclaimed, alluding to spiritual consequences for those involved in the aggression against her church.

Wanjiru’s impassioned speech also extended to express empathy for those affected, including the family of Benny Hinn and the government officials’ families. Through her tears, she warned of impending repercussions, urging the authorities to heed her cries for justice.
