Content creator Georgina Njenga has opened up about her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Mbaya, famously known as Baha, admitting that the dating scene has been more challenging than she anticipated. Despite her mostly firm decision to end their relationship, Georgina revealed a small but notable regret about leaving Baha, stating that the “streets are cold.”

In a candid conversation on a podcast with actress Morin, Georgina confessed that while she stands by her decision, she sometimes feels a 2% regret. She explained that their relationship had been young and filled with what she described as “puppy love.” However, Georgina was quick to add that reconciling with Baha was not an option for her, as their past relationship had too many unresolved issues.

Clarifying the reasons for their split, Georgina stressed that infidelity was not the cause. Instead, it was certain behavioral traits in Baha that she feared could become toxic over time. She admitted to having had fights during their relationship but noted that in hindsight, some things might have been handled differently. “We had fights, but there are some things looking back now, maybe I would have handled differently,” she shared.

What seemed to hurt her the most, however, was not the breakup itself, but the impact it had on their family. “The breaking of that family hurt me the most compared to the love,” she confessed, expressing her concerns about their daughter growing up without a father, as she did. This concern weighed heavily on her during the breakup.

Despite these challenges, Georgina mentioned that their co-parenting journey is improving. Her mother has played an instrumental role in facilitating communication between them, making it easier for both parents to interact and raise their daughter. “Tuko tu sawa, hata siwezi complain,” Georgina remarked, indicating that the co-parenting dynamic is functioning more smoothly now.

Georgina and Baha had been one of Kenya’s most adored young couples, and their breakup in 2023 came just months after the birth of their daughter. While their relationship did not last, their ability to navigate co-parenting remains a positive outcome.

In addition to reflecting on her past relationship, Georgina also shared her thoughts on future partnerships. After experiencing several failed relationships, she expressed a preference for a wealthy partner who can share the financial responsibilities, a sentiment that sparked mixed reactions from netizens.

Georgina’s openness about her experiences gives insight into the complexities of young love, breakups, and co-parenting, while also highlighting her resilience in the face of difficult decisions.
