Popular YouTuber and media personality Oga Obinna recently expressed his surprise after learning that comedian Mulamwah had blocked him on Instagram. The revelation came during an interview where Obinna was asked why he did not attend Mulamwah’s highly anticipated comedy show held on August 20.
Obinna shared that he only learned about the show through someone else on the day it happened. Curious, he attempted to check Mulamwah’s page on Instagram but couldn’t find it—only to discover that he had been blocked.
“Personally, I don’t have any beef with Mulamwah. I only found out he had blocked me when someone mentioned his show was happening. I tried to search for him on Instagram and couldn’t find him,” Obinna said, adding that had he known about the event, he would have attended.
He went on to explain that the absence of other celebrities from the event might have been due to scheduling conflicts. “Most celebs are usually busy over the weekend. Maybe if the show was on a Sunday or Monday, it would have been easier for more people to attend,” he said.
In response, Mulamwah didn’t shy away from addressing the situation. The comedian posted a video of Obinna and fellow content creator Dem Wa Facebook where they discussed his son, Kalamwah’s appearance. Mulamwah said the comments made in that video were the reason behind the block.
“You can’t easily forget how you were disrespected, even if others forget what they did to you,” Mulamwah stated, indicating that he felt hurt by the previous remarks and chose to distance himself from Obinna online.
The incident has sparked discussion among fans online about respect, boundaries, and transparency in Kenya’s entertainment circles. While Obinna maintains there’s no animosity from his side, Mulamwah’s actions reveal deeper sentiments behind the scenes. Whether the two will reconcile remains to be seen, but the episode has certainly stirred curiosity among their followers.
