Kenyan cinema has lost one of its most versatile actors, Bilal Wanjau Ibrahim, who passed away while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. Wanjau had been managing type 2 diabetes and spent his final week battling pneumonia alongside complications from a leg wound. He was in Machakos when sudden severe leg pain required urgent medical care. Family sources confirmed he passed later that night, with burial preparations underway in Machakos County.

The son of former Olympic flyweight boxer Ibrahim Bilali, Wanjau left a lasting legacy in film and television, shaping the Kenyan entertainment industry through memorable performances and a distinctive screen presence. His career spanned over a decade, marked by a commitment to versatility and depth in his roles.
