A 60-year old man in Wangige, Kabete, has been arrested after he allegedly defiled his 14-year-old granddaughter and raped his three daughters.
Neighbours claim that John Mbugua Wangige has been routinely raping his mentally challenged girls for a while now and that the oldest daughter is now six months pregnant with his child.
The man’s wife, who is also mentally ill, lamented that gangs have been breaking into their home since the man was arrested.
“We would like to plea to our government, that is holding this man, to lock him up and ensure the law is enforced,” said a resident, David Gachuruba, the Wangige chairman of community policing.
The neighbors have now called on well-wishers to help the family.
