Shortly after his arrival, ICT Cabinet Secretary (CS) Joe Mucheru accompanied him to a popular eatery known as Kwa Mama Oliech where they had fish for lunch.

What is surprising is that this restaurant is not exactly a kibanda but a joint that is frequented by the who-is-who’s of Kenya.

Photos of the billionaire devouring fish at an eatery that many considered unclassy brought social media to a standstill with quite a number hailing him for his humility.

A section of social media users also used the opportunity to throw shade at their friends who being that Zuckerberg at a cheap restaurant yet he is worth $54 billion.

But he is not alone. In the recent past many prominent Kenyans have visited kibandas despite their celebrity status.

Top on this list is Deputy President William Samoei Ruto who surprised residents of Maili Tisa in Uasin Gishu County after opting to have kuku chemsha in a makeshift structure.

NTV newscaster Larry Madowo also makes it to this list after sharing a photo of himself having chapati madondo at one of the hotels in Mathare slums.

Check out photos of the Kenyan celebrities who are all about that kibanda life:
