Microsoft is pursuing great strategies to keep PC makers and users away from Google’s Chrome OS, whose basic function is network-based.
According to the company, Windows 10 Cloud is defined as a kind of Windows 10, but lighter, because many of its features would be based on the cloud to consume the fewest possible resources within our system.
Windows 10 Cloud could be considered as strong competition and a great alternative to Chromebooks. Although Microsoft has not had the expected success, this could change very soon.
It is a fact that the Chromebook market has not stopped growing, because both Google and its partners know the potential and even after it has been confirmed that the next generations of Chromebook will have support for Android applications.
For that reason, Microsoft is starting to see a niche opportunity to put on the table an alternative to its new version of operating system.
To achieve this, Microsoft is preparing the launch of Windows 10 Cloud, which will be characterized by being a simplified version designed to run universal applications of Windows from the Windows Store.
The main objective of this new edition will be to compete with Chrome OS in computers more modest and economic.
It is still unclear when Microsoft plans to deploy its new version of Windows 10 Cloud, but early references to the Update Creators Update, suggest that it could come very soon. The company could also be preparing to test the new tool and deliver it later this year (no later than April).
The challenge will be greater for Microsoft, as almost all Chromebooks that will be launched from this year and thereafter, will have Android system. You will only see the final result of Windows 10, but with Microsoft’s commitment to focus on more creative designs, you may be able to become a worthy competitor.
