Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir has stirred online conversations after leaking a heated audio exchange between him and his girlfriend, Hannah Benta, where she is heard questioning why he sent her less money than usual. In the clip, Sammir appears frustrated and tells Hannah to start earning her own money on TikTok, instead of relying on him.
The viral audio comes at a time when Sammir is facing legal trouble in the US over a separate controversy involving the exposure of his ex-girlfriend Nancy’s private photos—an incident that reportedly led to him losing his job.
In the leaked conversation, Sammir questioned Hannah’s whereabouts, accusing her of going to a car wash instead of sticking to her original plan of going to church. “If you had money, you would not be up and down,” he said. “You were supposed to go to church and come back home. But you went to the car wash, I am calling you, and you are telling me I don’t know where you are. The only money I am sending is KSh 10,000.”
Hannah, clearly disappointed, challenged him on the amount, asking why he was withholding the remaining KSh 40,000 she expected. “How do you want me to survive?” she asked.
