The government has written to the Standard paper after it published a story that it deems it was way too much a defamatory to one of the government CS.
The story published by the Standard few days ago notes that the CS Fred Matiang’i (though name not mentioned) held an affair with a church choir girl and even went ahead to put a baby in her womb.
The government has written to the top media house demanding their apology and retraction of the story.
This is not the first time Standard group has been accuse of defamatory stories.
In about 5 years ago, Martha Karua sued them for writing a story that claimed she had had sex in car in front of her office in the parking lot with another young man not of her age.
Karua won the case and was paid more than 4 million shillings
Nyakundi raided.
When the post first appeared on Standard, Viral and controversial blogger who has more than two million combined Facebook and Twitter followers shared the story on his blogs and social media accounts.
Something that has led to his house being raided by security detectives

CS interior @FredMatiangi has sent 9 CID officers to my house to arrest me. They are in three cars. What if those resources are deployed to fight Nairobi gangs?
