The normal operations of Presbyterian University of East Africa have been disrupted after Education Acting CS Fred Matiang’i ordered its immediate shut shown across the country.
He further ordered that Commission of University Education to apply the Universities Act and Regulations in line with the shut down.
The varsity is said to have had salary arrears of its staff amounting to more than 611 million shillings of satffs who had not been paid for up to 2 years of working.
The varsity has also been accused of not having adequate resources with their lecturers educational certificates missing or showing they are not qualified to attend the varsity as workers
