A 25 year old Benson Masubo Chacha is not a new face in the public eyes.
Just few days ago, Murang’a women rep Sabina Chege declared on the floor of the National Assembly that unknown man had been sending nude photos to MPs in regards to her details.
Chacha who is the main suspect, is said to have picked a record containing crucial information which he used to obtain Sabina Chege’s details and before he cold began his malicious work.
With the number reading Sabina’s details, he has duped and conned a handful of MPs and top politicians. Including issuing threats and sending nude photos.
Benson Chacha does not stop his out-of-the-world acts, he claims that he dated a 54-year old former Bomet County women rep Cecilia Ngetich
“She dumped me on Valentine’s Day. I was to accompany her to South Africa on that day, only for her to tell me that the relationship was over,” he says.
The man who has dived into a hiding, is said to have gotten even along list of VIP contacts after he befriended several MPs including their close relatives such as their sons, cousins and daughters.
“Those who sent the money saw that the M-Pesa number had been registered under Sabina Wanjiku Chege. That is why they did not suspect anything. It wasn’t until former MP Jakoyo Midiwo asked me about it the following day that I learnt of it. Many other people had been sent the same message,” Ms Chege said
The conman was sending a distress messages claiming that him being Sabina Chege needed an urgent help of money since she was in a urgent medical attention.
And many were conned in that way easily.
The MPESA attendant who registered the illegal number has been arrested and she is supposed to take a plea in the court .
Chacha was genius enough even to have a circle of top VIP kids who were helping him to conduct his cartel business.
Derick Ng’etich (Son to Bomet Women rep Cecilia whom Chacha claims was his lover) and Edwin Warukira were arrested after they had gone to collect money from Jakoyo Midow sh.100,000.
The boys claimed that Chacha was not able to collect since he was very sick. The news of the boys arrest sent a danger signal to Chacha who immediately went into hiding.
Police are looking for him currently

Chacha is a high profile conman indeed
If you thought Chacha was a low profile person you are very wrong.
Chacha owns fleet of luxury cars such as Toyota Land Cruiser V8, Toyota Lexus and Chrysler 1540.
He also leaves in a posh estate based in Nairobi.
