Mwara Primary School pupils were saved from drinking poisoned water from unlikely mind, a cook!
On Tuesday 8th May 2018, Mary Wanjiku noticed that the basic water they used, which was usually stored ijn their tank, was milking with a strange bad smell.
She moved first and informed the school head teacher who ensured that the water remained untouched.
Head teacher Julius Githae informed health officers who responded quick to the emergency.
The fears in the water harvested from the heavy rains were confirmed by Kiharu sub-county public health officer Milka Njenga.
The cook was lauded for her heroic act.
