Hamisi Shabaana Tale Tale aka Babu Tale who is Diamond’s manager was arrested over 11M debt he owned to a Muslim clergy man.
Babu Tale was arrested on 22nd May and presented in court at 3pm after he had evaded security officers for long.
At the time, registrar of the court was not present, forcing him to stay at the police station until next day.
Babu Tale and his brother Iddi Tale were issued with warrant of arrests after failing to honor the payment compensation of Tsh250 million to one Sheikh Mbonde, a Muslim motivational speaker, as was ordered by Judge Agustine Shangwa in February 18, 2016.
The two were compensating the religious leader’s work after they cashed on his work without his knowledge.
The court had ruled that if the two fails to pay the debt, the two will be sentenced to jail as per the Tanzanian rules.
