On Thursday 28th June Gikomba fire claimed 15 souls and left scores with serious wounds.
And even so, the cause of the the fire has not been identified, just like any other fire that happened there. And maybe this time round we shall wait for the answers until another case of fire unfolds.
A rare case of street boys, led by Tyson Maina has won the hearts of several Nairobians after it emerged that the street boys were actually involved in rescue operations.

They narrated how they rescued bodies and even live souls even as they put their lives in danger.
We Rushed In With Containers And Drew Water From The River And Tried To Put Out The Fires, But The Police Chased Us Away Soon After They Arrived. We Then Forced Our Way Into A Nearby Building To Rescue Those Who Were Trapped. There Were Bodies Along The Staircases In One Of The Buildings. I Counted More Than Ten Bodies.
