Kisumu County boss Anyang’Nyongó has announced new plans which would see Kisumu City’s two landmark learning institutions moved out of the central business district.

Kisumu Girls’ and Kisumu Boys’ High Schools would be moved out of town in a sacrifice to bring on more commercial districts in the lake lying city.

The county governor has already noted that the ongoing geo-mapping is meant to propose changes towards economic growth.

The national classified Kisumu Girls houses more than 1500 students while their brother school Kisumu boys which is classified as an extra-county school also houses similar number of students
