Youth Village Kenya – Kenya’s Online Youth Portal (www.youthvillage.co.ke) is an initiative that aims at facilitating better access to developmental youth information and enabling the youth to access local and global opportunities. The platform also serves a resource and information hub for news and content affecting and relating to Kenya youth. The site targets young Kenyans between the ages of 16-35.
We invite volunteers to submit article contributions on Youth Village Kenya as content creators.
If you feel strongly about:
•The Kenyan identity in our globalised world
• Kenya’s engagement with the rest of the world (politically, economically, culturally)
contemporary urban Kenyan youth life and culture
• A news event relating to Kenya and/or the way said news event is being covered by the international media or Any other field of interest relating to contemporary Kenyans and Kenyans at home or in the diaspora
•or if you have original ideas you’d like to share, submit your writing to us. Well-written contributions will be published on the Youth Village Kenya website, and topical contributions stand a better chance of being articles with a Kenya context around these thematic areas (Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Health, Lifestyle, Fashion, Technology, Dating, Interviews, and Entertainment etc)
• Please note that we are interested in well-considered opinion pieces and commentary, not letters.
• Keep it under 900 words.
• Include your full name, Institution and one or two sentences about yourself.
