Green tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world, due to its many health benefits.

 Several studies show that a moderate consumption of green tea helps maintain good oral health , as its components reduce the formation of bacteria.

5 benefits of green tea in oral health

• An investigation published by the Journal of Periodontology revealed that green tea is very good for the care of the gums, due to its high content of antioxidants called polyphenols.

Polyphenols inhibit the germs that damage the gums, by increasing the intake of green tea even with when considering other lifestyle factors

• Green tea catechins prevent the development of tartar on the teeth and eliminate bacteria.

• A study published by  General Dentistry   found that the effect of tea on tooth enamel was the same as that of water, which has no erosive effects, resulting in less glaze loss compared to carbonated beverages.

• According to a study published by the Journal of Indian Society of Periodontol, it was found that a diluted catechin solution reduces odor in the mouth (halitosis).

Regularly drinking green tea helps you avoid side effects and maintain good oral health, as it reduces inflammation and limits the growth of certain bacteria associated with periodontal diseases. What do you think?
