There are no enough words in English to celebrate Tanzania’s music powerhouse, most decorated humble and bankable musician Diamond Platnumz. He is one of the most influential artiste in East Africa, and his music source never seem to dry out.

  1. His official names are Nasibu Abdul Juma, he was born in 1988 in Dar, and he celebrates his birthday on every 2nd of October.
  2. The musician who grew up in western parts of Tanzania prefers a nickname, which is Chibu Dangote.
  3. He is a single child raised by a single parent, he was brought up by her mother and grandmother after they couldn’t solve marriage wrangles with dad.
  4. He studied at Chakula Bora nursery school, and later primary school. He was awarded a honory degree by Dar Salaam University for his role in exporting Tanzanian culture and art.
  5. Diamond is undoubtedly the wealthiest musician in East Africa
  6. The start favors his nation by charging sh.370,000 per show and while on foreign ground is 2.3 million per every show.
  7. He charges sh.277,000 per audio collabo and sh.553,000 per video collabo for artists who wishes to do a collabo with him.
  8. He started his music work while in class five, her mother was so supportive at this age and helped him grow up musically despite the extreme poverty status
  9. He worked as a mitumba hawker before working in a filling station then later a freelance photographer.
  10. He once stole his mother’s ring to raise money for his album
  11. He once dated former Miss Tanzania 2006 and film star Wema Sepetu, Tanzanian’s VJ Penny Mungilwa and currently dating Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.
  12. He has over 21 awards on his head across East Africa and across the entire world.
