The defending champions will be facing a poor side Thika United who has had a winless streak since the title campaign began.

A win for Kogalo will sent them to the sixth position while a win for their rivals will register a first ever win.

“I had a bad start with the team because Brian (Toaraach) picked an injury and Dennis (Odhiambo) picked a red card (in the barren draw against Posta Rangers),” James Nandwa the head coach of Thika United complained.

According to James Nandwa the former Harambee Stars and AFC Leopards coach, his boys will have to cover every blade of the grass and maintain a possession with clinical finishes.

“It will be like a final for us. There is no small or big team in the league. It will be a tough match so we have to work hard.  It’s a challenge for me because we have not won a match in the league but the boys must raise their game. We have to work extra hard,” Nandwa said.

The match promises to be a cracker as they come up against Gor, who registered their first win of the term in a 3-0 victory over Kakamega Homeboyz at the weekend.

Gor coach Jose Marcello Ferreira “Ze Maria” and Rwandan talisman Jacques Tuyisenge both had a dream debut, the Rwandese claiming a goal and an assist and Ferreira winning his first match as Kogalo coach. The fired-up striker is once again poised to lead the line.
