Senator Millicent Omanga took Kenyans through her deluxe mansion in Nairobi during her latest interview with Betty Kyalo on K24.

The female senator, through her tour guide, revealed how she had worked hard to own such a blessing.

“My dad passed away while we were in school, we were eight kids and my mum was struggling to pay for the fees. That is why I chose to be independent.”

She says that after studying a business course, she later ventured into business before becoming a politician.

I Am An Interior Designer. I Learnt The Trade Through Passion And Friends Because I Have Studied B-Com At The University Of Nairobi. When I Was In Campus, I Would Use My Upkeep Cash To Go To Dubai And Buy Stock And Resell.

What about political trolls and body shames, she says that it only bothered her at the beginning of her career.

Initially, I Used To Get Hurt. I Would Cry Till I Could Not Cry Anymore. Now, I Have Developed A Tough Skin. My Conscience Is Clear. So I Have Nothing To Be Worried About.
