The official dates for the annual national KCPE and KCSE exams have been announced by the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec)
KCPE aka the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education start on October 28 and end on October 31.
While Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams will begin officially on November 4 with the final date being November 27.
This year 2019, 1,089,671 candidates have registered for KCPE and 698,935 for KCSE making a total of 1.78 million candidates .
The Ministry of Education has set up 10,304 exam centres where zero cases of exam cheating are expected.
“Any person who willfully and maliciously damages examination material will be in violation of Section 30 of the Knec Act and the penalty will be imprisoned for a term not exceeding five years or a fine not exceeding Sh5 million or both,” a statement from Knec read in part.
Under the new curriculum, the Grade Three Learners will be accessed according to the Kenya Early Years Assessment exams.
Their exams will be done between September 16-20 in 2019.
