Wearing wigs and weaves is the current trend in Africa and specifically Kenya. Every woman wants to rock one, whether cheap or expensive as long as it fits the head. But wait, do they really know that weaves and wigs are the reasons why some of them suffer from alopecia (hair loss) thus ending up bald?

Black women have naturally unique and beautiful hair but due to low self-esteem issues or reasons well known to them, they always wear wigs and weaves. Why would you want to have blonde or straight hair?

6.WAHU- SINGER

Wahu is just cute, and you just have to deal with it they way it is. That’s why she got married to Nameless and she looks always so good in her short hairstyle.

Like her best friend Wahu, the birds of the same feathers flock together and so is Wahu and Wacu. The volleyball player is just stunning with her head and hairstyle without a weave.

8.JANE WANJA-ATHLETE

Janet Wanja (born February 24, 1984 in Nairobi) is a female volleyball player who competed for her Kenya at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, wearing the number #7 jersey. There she ended up in eleventh place with the Kenya women’s national team.

Wanja went to Mukumu Girls high School. She has played for Kenya Commercial Bank and Kenya Pipeline.

She is just loveable without a wig

9.KAMBUA – GOSPEL ARTIST

In 2009 Kambua received the Female Artiste of the Year Award at the annual Groove Awards, held in Nairobi, Kenya.

She was also the recipient of the 2008 Afro Fusion Female Artiste of the Year award at the Kisima Awards. In the year 2011 Kambua was nominated for the East Africa Music Awards, (London), as well as the 2011 Mwafaka Awards.

She is just wonderful with no hairstyle of wigs and weaves

10.RACHEL RUTO-PRESIDENT’S WIFE

Though she was never into natural hairstyle, the former weave lady has just looked wow after her recent shave to a short haircut.

The reknown and celebrated gospel singer stands so stylish with her traditional hair designs. Even though she moved to Nigeria, her looks are admired by most.
