Renowned international boxing broadcaster and YouTuber Ade Oladipo has officially partnered with Kalakoda Promotions and TV47 in a landmark deal valued at KSh 1 billion, set to transform Kenya’s boxing scene. The multi-year agreement will feature 11 Friday Fight Nights broadcast both locally and internationally throughout 2026. From 2027, the partnership will expand to 12 monthly events annually. In addition, Kalakoda Promotions will launch Young Lions, a weekly grassroots boxing series aimed at developing young Kenyan talent. This brings the total number of confirmed boxing events in Kenya this year to over 60, creating consistent opportunities for fighters nationwide.
The next Friday Fight Night is scheduled for Friday, 27 February at Masshouse in Nairobi. The event is expected to draw large crowds, highlighting the growing popularity of professional boxing in the country. Oladipo, who has covered global high-profile bouts including Fury vs Usyk and Joshua vs Dubois, praised the atmosphere at Kalakoda’s Nairobi events. He noted that the energy and passion for boxing in Africa left a strong impression and confirmed the continent’s potential for world-class boxing entertainment.
The partnership has been welcomed by sports leaders, including the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission. Officials emphasized that the investment will provide local fighters with more exposure, elevate the standard of professional boxing, and position Kenya as a key player in the international boxing arena.
By combining Oladipo’s international broadcasting experience with Kalakoda’s local expertise, Friday Fight Nights is set to become a premier African boxing platform. With a structured calendar of events and global reach, the initiative promises to deliver high-quality matches while nurturing the next generation of Kenyan boxing talent. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Kenyan sports, setting the stage for a vibrant boxing ecosystem with long-term growth potential.
