There comes a moment in almost everyone’s life when hope feels fragile.

It’s the phone call telling you that you’ve been retrenched. The doctor’s diagnosis that changes everything. The funeral where you say goodbye to someone you never imagined living without. The empty bank account. The failed business. The relationship that falls apart despite your best efforts.

For many people, those moments are not stories—they are reality.

It is this reality that South African gospel collective Omega Circle brings to life in its newly released music video for Ungasabi, a heartfelt visual that speaks directly to people who have found themselves asking one difficult question: Will life ever get better?

Unlike many music videos that focus on performance and entertainment, Ungasabi places everyday people at the centre of the story.

The opening scenes introduce characters who could be anyone’s neighbour, sibling, parent or friend.

A father quietly packs his belongings after losing his job. A young woman struggles with depression behind a smile that hides her pain. A family bows their heads in prayer around an almost empty dinner table. Another character watches years of hard work disappear as financial pressures push a business to the brink of collapse.

There are no dramatic special effects.

No fictional villains.

Just the quiet heartbreak that millions of people carry every single day.

As these scenes unfold, the song delivers words that feel less like lyrics and more like a promise.

“Ungasabi. Ungalahli ithemba. Don’t be afraid. He is the Redeemer. Ungasabi. He will never forsake you.”

The contrast is powerful.

While the visuals reveal fear, uncertainty and loss, the music gently reminds viewers that despair is not the end of the story.

As the video enters its final chapter, hope slowly begins to replace heartbreak.

One character walks into a therapy session for the first time, choosing healing over silence. Another celebrates graduation after years of setbacks. A couple receives the keys to their first home. Parents hold a newborn child after years of waiting. Friends reconcile after seasons of hurt, while others rediscover purpose through faith, family and community.

The ending is not presented as a fairy tale where every problem disappears overnight.

Instead, it reflects a truth familiar to many people of faith—that restoration often arrives gradually, through perseverance, prayer and the support of those who refuse to let us walk alone.

The release follows Omega Circle’s previous single, Ngembathe, which has inspired more than 3,000 user-generated videos across social media. Rather than becoming a viral dance trend, the worship anthem found its place in people’s daily lives, accompanying morning devotions, long drives, family moments and personal testimonies.

With Ungasabi, the collective hopes to offer something equally meaningful: not just another song, but encouragement for anyone who feels overwhelmed by life’s circumstances.

Speaking about the release, a member of Omega Circle said the music video was created to remind people that difficult seasons do not last forever.

“We are really excited to showcase this music video for Ungasabi. The video shows a lot of life’s vulnerabilities, people going through difficult times and finally things starting to look up and get better, which speaks to God being the Redeemer. We really believe this music video will resonate with so many people who have had to lean on their faith in extremely difficult and taxing times.”

To extend the conversation, Omega Circle will release the music video as a five-part social media series throughout the week, each chapter exploring a different aspect of life’s struggles while carrying one simple message:

“Be kind. Everyone is fighting a silent battle.”

In an age where social media often showcases only life’s happiest moments, Ungasabi dares to acknowledge the pain that many people keep hidden. More importantly, it reminds viewers that behind every setback lies the possibility of a new beginning.

For those still waiting for better days, Omega Circle hopes this music video offers something more valuable than entertainment.

It offers hope.
