South African music starlet Yvonne Chaka Chaka was in K’ogello , Siaya County where US ex President Barack Obama was launching Sauti Kuu project.
The Uqombothi hitmaker provided some sense of African print fashion, especially to Kenyan celebs who struggle with Western fused African culture.
Dressed with a light head gear, 53 year old wore a free-to air black colour mixed dress. She was also was accompanied with her other crew. Yvonne was among the guest of honors invited to perform at the much awaited event.
Obama landed on Sunday before heading straight to State House where he met with President Uhuru Kenyatta, he also went ahead to meet NASA leader Raila Odinga at Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi.
The following day on Monday 16th July landed in Kisumu city before he traveled to his fathers home, K’ogello by road.
Sauti Kuu project pioneered by Obama’s half sister Dr.Auma Obama is a foundation that aims to create a place for disadvantaged children and young people where they can discover their strengths and realize their full potential, especially in sports and vocational training.
Obama who traveled without his family, will head on with his itinerary to South Africa where he is expected to give a speech at Mandela Foundation during Mandela’s 100th centenary celebrations
