Making ends meet can be difficult even when you are employed thanks to the cost of living being too high. Surviving on one salary is becoming hard because there are so many bills and responsibilities to take care of.

But that does not have to be the case. This is because there are a lot of part time jobs you can engage in to make both ends meet and the good thing is, they do not require any experience.

 

1. Online Writer/Blogger

Are you passionate about writing? Are you that kind of person who is creative and likes to write about life experiences online? Well a better way to do is to become a blogger. You can opt to either create your own blog or offer to write for an online publication. For instance I- writer is a good Journal that you can begin to write for. All you need to do is to register and get paid for any article submitted once it is approved.

2. House Hunter

This seems like a really odd job but think about it. Kenyans and mostly Nairobians hate hunting whenever they want to move to a new place thanks to the crazy working hours.

Also, many people are looking to live in places adjacent to their places of work or for their own convenience. How about offering a house hunting service for anyone looking for a house within Nairobi and its environs? You can dedicate most of your weekends for this profitable ventures. For instance, you can consider charging your clients for viewing the house or when they move in. Not a bad venture isn’t it?

3. Bartender/Waiter & Waitress

For some reason, being a bartender is always viewed as a violent job but it can come really handy when your current job is making you broke. Did you know that serving drinks can earn you good money especially when you are in a busy place? In busy place, a bartender can make an amount of Ksh 5000 per night.

On the other hand, if you are so conservative about serving drinks, you can consider working as waiter or waitress in a busy restaurant. With the tips, one can earn well and boost their salary.

4. Part Time Tutor Job Requires No Experience

If you were a genius in any subject in school, you can use that knowledge to assists school going kids who are struggling and at the same time get to earn money. A private tutor can earn a minimum of Ksh 1000 per hour so that means the more time you sacrifice to help students the more money you get. Start by making yourself available through the internet or posters.

5. Hair Stylist

On average a hairstylist can make up to Ksh 3000 depending on the work location. Are you passionate about plaiting or styling women’s hair? Set your own hours by working in a salon or in the comfort of your own home. You can also introduce other services to your clients like nail manicure and pedicure and you don’t need any experience from it. Advancement in this industry will require you to build your clientele
