Betty Kinanda was laid to rest on 18th March 2017 at a platinum age of 101, just ayear after hitting a century.
The grandmother to the TV girl Betty Kyalo played a very significant role towards the queen of KTN’s career anchor.
Betty wrote, “I’M NAMED AFTER THIS SWEET OLD LADY, BETTY KINANDA (KINANDA IS THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT KNOWN AS ACCORDION BECAUSE OF OUR LOVE FOR GOOD MUSIC ?) SHE IS WISE AND FUNNY. OH AND SHE’S 101 YEARS! GOD BLESS HER❤️”
Brian Kyalo, her brother also posted his tribute online
“Laid to rest the great matriarch of the Kang’ulyu family. Our granny, Cucu Beatrice Mutei ‘Kinanda’, was 101 years. This was a true celebration of life … An event we as family cherished. On my right is my Pops, Major Kyallo.”
Her work mates in media industry also shared some love at this trying moment.
KTN news presenter Joy Doreen Biira wrote, “She lived a whole century and added a year to it…. that’s a platinum life.”
