Triumph Over Regional Giants

Bien outshone some of the biggest names in East African music, including Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Marioo, and Harmonize, Uganda’s Joshua Baraka, and Ethiopia’s Rophnan. As the only Kenyan nominee in the category, his win was a moment of pride for the country.

Electrifying Performance

Before receiving the coveted award, Bien delivered a captivating performance, wowing the audience with his signature vocals and stage presence. His performance was one of the night’s highlights, showcasing why he remains a force to reckon with in the music industry.

Celebrating African Music

The Trace Awards celebrate African music across various genres, including Afrobeat, Bongo Flava, Genge, Amapiano, and more. The 2025 ceremony followed the inaugural event in Rwanda the previous year, bringing together top talents from across Africa, the diaspora, and beyond.

A Chain of Honour

Adding to the memorable night, Tanzanian artist Harmonize gifted Bien his custom chain in a gesture of respect and admiration. The surprise moment was captured on video, sparking conversations among fans and fellow artists.

Rising Legacy

Bien’s win not only cements his legacy but also highlights the growing influence of Kenyan music on the African stage. With this victory, the Sauti Sol star continues to inspire a new generation of artists while elevating Kenyan music to greater heights.
