She revealed that the actor died due to complications related to diabetes and disclosed that his burial is scheduled for Friday, December 12, in Machakos. Bilal’s final social media post on TikTok, dated August 5, reflected his vibrant spirit. In the video, he was seen singing passionately along to “The Lady in Red” by Chris De Burgh, showing a side of him full of life and energy.
Colleagues in the acting industry expressed their heartbreak over his passing. In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, actor Tony Sherman shared an emotional tribute, recalling Bilal’s cheerful presence on set and his memorable performances. “I’m heartbroken to hear the passing of Bilal, the great actor… always cheerful on set, cracking jokes each and every time. I remember when he did the role of an MCA, he brought it out perfectly. Rest in peace, BAZENGA,” Sherman said.
Fans also paid tribute to the late actor. Alaine Akinyi wrote: “Wanjau was one of the best actors of our times. He was passionate about his career and I will remember him for his great acting skills and advertising roles.
