The award winning author, Wainaina Binyavanga has shocked his Kenyan readers after dropping a big hint on his twitter account.

He just wrote ‘i am HIV Positive, and Happy’.

The Caine Prize winner who was declared one of the top 100 influential people in Africa has been in German for Daad Fellowship for quite a long while.

As the world marks aids day on 2nd, December 2016. His comments have elicited several reactions from the readers with some just claiming it is his usual theatrics of seeking media attention while others encouraged him to spread the word to those who look traumatized.

Binyavanga has been known for his homosexual status despite his widespread of writing books.

He had also claimed to have been assaulted by a taxi driver in German.
