Raila Junior Odinga, son to NASA leader is appealing for the Kenya government to legalize bhang aka cannabis sativa.

Raila Jr. was reacting to the news of a Kenyan who was arrested after he was caught farming bhang.

The controversial son saw a business or rather an entrepreneurship idea in Njoroge Mbugua from Mirithu village, Limuru who was captured with a huge chunk of the plant in his farm.

Serious discussion have to be held on the legalization and control of cannabis sativa, and entrepreneurs like MR Mbugua in their business and religious conquests #LegalizeIt https://t.co/oJX5F04bpr

The controversial farmer told police that he had received a call from above to plant the ‘weed’ for about two years.

“This is my work alone and it is ‘god’ who instructed me to plant. I went to the heavens and came back because there are a lot of people who use it,” said Mbugua.

Political economist David Ndii also had opined few months ago, encouraging state to stamp use of bhang.

He argued that bhang was more useful and harmless than cigarettes adding that government was supporting cigars because of their business ties
