Ugandan MP who was freed after a week in detention has penned a heartbreaking story detailing how Ugandan soldiers almost claimed his life by torturing and subjecting his body to inhumane treatment.

Bobi Wine laments in his long Facebook post that he suffered both mental and physical harm while in the hands of President Yoweri Museveni’s army.

Drama ensured in Gulu town before he was arrested. After campaigning for their favorite candidate who later claimed victory, Bobi Wine proceeded to his hotel for rest. But before that hell broke loose.

The musician says that his driver was reported shot dead, as army men beat and ran over innocent people mercilessly.

Reports of President Museveni’s car stoning in same town also had been reported. Besides the president’s favorite candidate lost the seat.

Bobi Wine was smoked out of his hideout in on of the hotel room, he was beaten and tortured until he into a trance.

He later regained sense in a military cell. Bobi Wine continues his narration of torture detailing how his manhood was hacked with crude weapons like pliers.

Later when he was expected in courts, he was subjected to quick ‘reform’ program so as to look ‘neat’ and ‘strong’ before the media. He says that even his long hair was not spared, injected with energy boosting drugs by military doctors.

Bobi Wine later discovered that one of his kidney was damaged and required urgent transplant. It did not take President Museveni a thought to let him leave for specialized treatment. He was rearrested and banged in the vehicle so as to confirm his allegation.

He was later given green light to board the plane.

He has thanked his wife Barbie, lawyers, political leaders, Ugandans and the rest of the world who stood with his solidarity fight.

Bobi Wine was rather shocked by President Museveni’s social media comments on his arrest, that even in time of his suffering the Head of government choose to downplay his plea.

He however remains adamant that he will continue fighting for the freedom of other arrested politicians, solidarity and inhumane activities practiced by cruel politicians in his country.

2. Please ignore communication from other social media platforms under my name apart from the verified Twitter & Facebook ones.
