DeSagu’s Journey to Recovery

DeSagu had been struggling with depression for months, a condition that saw him admitted to Mathari Hospital for treatment, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). His friend, MoFarm, played a significant role in overseeing his recovery, despite facing criticism from skeptics who doubted the severity of DeSagu’s condition.

Speaking at a homecoming ceremony, DeSagu shared his experience, urging young people to speak up when going through tough times.

“I was sick, and it was something serious. Depression is real. One thing I have learned from this is that when life gets hard, talk to somebody. I used to keep my problems to myself,” he said.

KSh 1 Million Donation to Rebuild His Life

On March 11, a delegation led by MP Njoroge Kururia, musician Samidoh, and businesswoman Dama wa Spares visited DeSagu’s rural home to offer financial assistance. The team presented a KSh 1 million donation to support his recovery and help him rebuild his life.

Samidoh, who handed over the money, prayed that the funds would be a blessing to DeSagu and his family.

“This money that we have brought you, may it be a blessing to you and your family,” he remarked.

MoFarm’s Frustration Over Doubts

MoFarm, a close friend of DeSagu, expressed his frustration over individuals who dismissed the comedian’s condition as an exaggeration. He emphasized the seriousness of DeSagu’s struggles and the importance of offering support rather than judgment.

DeSagu’s Message of Gratitude

Following the event, DeSagu took to social media to express his appreciation for the overwhelming support he received.

“I have every reason to glorify God for a great event. It’s a big blessing to have guests today at my parents’ home. I thank everyone who came to support me with prayers and financial aid. May God open new doors for me and change my life for the better,” he wrote.

The Importance of Mental Health Awareness

DeSagu’s journey highlights the need for mental health awareness and the importance of having a strong support system. His story serves as a reminder that depression is real and that seeking help is crucial for recovery.

As he continues to regain his strength, his fans and well-wishers hope to see him return to the comedy scene with renewed energy and purpose.
