Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed. The Cover Note must include Degree Programme (What are you currently studying?) Graduation Date (When will you graduate or when did you graduate from the programme?) List the IT skills and programmes that you are proficient in. List your top three areas of interest. Explain why you are the best candidate for this specific internship. Explain your interest in the United Nations Internship Programme.
In your online Personal History Profile, be sure to include all past work experiences, IT skills, and three references. Due to the high volume of applications received, ONLY successful candidates will be contacted. Organizational Setting and Reporting The African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC) of the Special Initiative Division of ECA is seeking for an intern for Communication and Public Information. The internship is for three months with an opportunity for extension, pending on the needs of the programme.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work for five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of the Senior Climate Change Adaptation Expert of ACPC and other members of the Adaptation Team. Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to Assistance in drafting and preparing official documents; Attending and summarizing conferences and meetings; Assistance during conferences; Web presentation; Media analysis; Speech writing; Assist the Communication Officer and other staff members in the timely delivery of materials and information to key stakeholders; Assist in organization and preparation for special events; Assist with outreach programs and activities; Undertake research for speeches and presentations; Prepare advocacy materials; Update and maintain mailing/contact lists for media and other key contacts; any other communications-related duties as required; and Assist with other related tasks as needed.
