Deputy President William Ruto showed his side of humanity when he used one of his choppers to rescue a boy from Bomet County who was suffering from spinal cord defect.

Compassionate DP Ruto has now offered to pay for the sickling boy Ian Kipkoech a specialized treatment at Nairobi’s Aga Khan Hospital

Ian Kipkoech who is a pupil at Olengisha Bright Star Academy won the heart of Ruto while reciting a poem at an event attended by DP Ruto.

After talking to the mother Yvonne Chelagat at the end of the event, DP Ruto dispatched his aide through Emmanuel Talam who were joined by Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso.

They were airlifted to Nairobi on Tuesday 19th February.

“Accompanied Ian Kipkoech, who is proceeding for specialized treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi this afternoon,” Governor Joyce Laboso posted on Facebook.

She also thanked the DP for paying up the bills.

“Thank you Your Excellency the DP Dr. William Samoei Ruto for keeping the promise you made during the launch of Bomet County Universal Coverage last Saturday, 16th February 2019 to cater for the boy’s medical bills,” she added.
