The opposition leaders marched to IEBC offices at anniversary towers where they addressed their supporters.

Anti- riot police were mobilised to block any advances by protesters to access the electoral body’s offices.

Kenyans took to twitter to give their thoughts and reactions on the protests.

The voice of the people deserve to be met by listening ears of their Govt and not water cannons, tanks, teargas or police #IEBCMustGo — Kalonzo Musyoka (@skmusyoka)

Instead of #IEBCMustGo, how I wish we protested against the increase in price of essential commodities, illegally erected buildings etc — Ahmed Mohamed (@asmali77)

#IEBCMustGo Any elected leader demonstrating i.e MP, Governor, Senator..should surrender certificate issued as winner by #IEBC and resign — Real Kenyan (@tuamue)

If #IEBCMustGo, the elected Leaders who were declared winners by IEBC in 2013 MUST RESIGN FIRST IN PROTEST, then I will support #IEBCMustGo — Mungai Gathogo® (@MungaiGathogo)
