Being well does not mean not having problems. Being well is knowing that you have the capacity to handle them.

Imagine all the wonderful things you could be thinking about if you didn’t have your mind busy with all your problems.

Look at all this that you have right now and not what you lost. Because it is not what the world takes from you that counts, it is what you do with what you have left.

Here are some things to remember when you’re having a losing streak:

1. This will pass

Every time it rains it stops. Every time you get hurt you heal yourself. After dark there is always light. Nothing lasts forever. If things go well now enjoy them, they won’t last forever. If things are wrong don’t worry because they won’t last forever either.

Just because life isn’t easy right now doesn’t mean you can’t laugh. Just because something is bothering you doesn’t mean you can’t be happy.

Each moment gives you a new beginning and a new end. You have a second chance every second.

You just have to take it and make the best of it.

2. Pain is part of growth

Sometimes life closes our doors because it is time to move on. And that’s okay because we often don’t move if circumstances don’t force us to.

When times are tough, remind yourself that pain doesn’t come without a purpose. Heal your wounds but never forget what they taught you. Everything will come out. Perhaps not immediately, but over time.

Remember that there are two types of pain: pain that hurts and pain that changes you. When you flow with life instead of resisting it, both types of pain will help you grow.

3. Worrying and complaining don’t change a thing

Those who complain the most are the least successful. It is always better to try to do something and fail than to do nothing and succeed. This does not end if you lose. It ends when you do nothing but complain about it. If you believe in something, keep trying.

Don’t let the shadows of the past darken the doors of your future. There’s someone very big waiting for you out there. Stop complaining about your problems and start being grateful for all the problems you don’t have.

4. Every little fight is a step forward

Patience is not waiting. It is the ability to maintain a good attitude while working on what you believe in, knowing that the effort is worth it. So if you are going to try it, spend time and go all the way. Otherwise there is no point in you going out.

And if you want it, you will get it, despite the failure and the rejection. And every step forward will make you feel better than anything you can imagine. You will realize that the fight is not on the way, it is the way itself.

And it’s worth it. So if you are going to try it go all the way. There is no better feeling in the world than knowing what it means to be alive.

5. Your scars are reminders of your strength

Don’t be ashamed of the scars that life has left you. A scar means that the pain is gone and the wound has closed. It means that you overcame the pain, learned the lesson, and became stronger.

A scar is a tattoo of a triumph that you should be proud of. The wound is the place where the light enters you. You have survived and you have scars that show it. Now you can only grow stronger.

6. What is meant to be will be

You cannot force things to happen. At some point you will have to let them go and allow what is meant to be. In the end, loving your life is trusting your intuition, taking risks, losing and finding happiness, cherishing memories, and learning from the experience.

It’s a long trip. You have to stop worrying and doubt every step you take along the way. Laugh at the confusion, consciously live in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds. You may not end up exactly where you intend to go, but you’re likely to get exactly where you need to be.

7. The negativity of others is not your problem

Don’t let someone else’s bitterness change who you are. What’s more, don’t even think about changing just to impress someone who says you’re not good enough.

If you change it is because you want to become someone better and have a brighter future. People are going to speak, regardless of what you do and how you do it. So worry about yourself rather than worry about what others think. If you believe in something, don’t be afraid to fight for it.

True strength comes from overcoming what others thought was impossible. Life you only have one. This is so. Do what makes you happy and be with who makes you feel good.

8. The best thing you can do is go ahead

Don’t be afraid to love and dream again. Don’t let life harden your heart. The best lessons are learned at the worst times and from the biggest mistakes.

When you feel like you are going to give up, remember that sometimes things have to go very badly before they turn out well. Sometimes you have to go through the worst to get to the best.
