On July 29th in 2021, family of CS Amina Mohammed announced that Khalid Ahmed was dead.
The husband of Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed died around 5am at Karen Hospital in Nairobi after suffering from short illness.
Khalid was a father of two kids who lived a silent public life while remaining committed to business and family matters
The family said the CS was more affected given she had in March 2021 lost her brother Esmael Mohammed Jibril, a prominent city businessman, while receiving treatment in India.
