Businesswoman and entrepreneur Damaris Muriithi, widely known as Dama wa Spares, has finally put months of speculation to rest by revealing that she is expecting a child. The founder of Dama Mobile Spares made the announcement while on a business trip in China, using the moment to not only celebrate her pregnancy but also address those who had been persistently speculating about it.
In a series of radiant photos shared on social media, Dama stood confidently in a flowing sundress, cradling her baby bump against a picturesque backdrop featuring Chinese calligraphy and vibrant blossoms. The announcement came with a heartfelt caption that revealed her deep gratitude to God and her passionate stance on the value of children.
“Children are a blessing from the Lord,” Dama wrote. “Always be proud of them if you have them and take time to pray for them. Remember millions of barren women are praying for children, don’t take the blessings for granted.”
In a direct yet cheeky tone, Dama addressed the constant buzz around her personal life:
“What are you gynaecologists saying? How many months am I far? Because we can’t seem to keep you quiet. Stop talking like you are scared.”
Though she didn’t reveal the identity of the baby’s father, fans have been busy speculating online—especially about the person behind the camera capturing her serene moments abroad. Her cryptic hints about a possible relationship during a recent Kameme FM interview only fueled more curiosity.
The pregnancy reveal comes just months after a public fallout with Bishop Kiengei, a well-known figure with whom Dama was romantically linked. Their relationship ended in controversy following a leaked audio in which Dama allegedly criticised his character, ultimately leading to her resignation from her role at JCM Ministries.
Despite past drama, Dama seems to be embracing a new chapter, full of hope and purpose. In her announcement, she even playfully prayed for a large family: “God give me like 10 kids, I’m going to raise them.”
Just days before the announcement, Dama stirred debate online after commenting on the issue of side chicks and urging women to respect marital boundaries. The remarks sparked reactions, given her own history with a married man, but she stood her ground, asserting that she had supported her former partner before choosing to walk away.
With her brand thriving and a new baby on the way, Dama wa Spares is clearly charting her own path—unapologetically and with a renewed sense of purpose.
