THE DANGERS OF PREMA
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Galatians 5:19 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery (having sex outside of our marriage), fornication (sex before marriage), uncleanness, lewdness,”
I Corinthians 6:18 “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” ALL Christians know that our Bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and belong to God.
God Commands that we do not have premarital sex, living together outside of marriage, commit adultery (sex with another when married), and behave in a lewd or sexual way toward another than our spouse. Also, it is a proven fact that 70% of people admit privately that they have had premarital sex and over 90% regret it deeply.
Christians know it is a sin against God, our own body, and against the other person, and now feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit and shame that follows until we repent and stop all premarital sex until marriage. If we continue to practice any sin, it will drive us away from Jesus, God, and our Eternal life with them!
Premarital sex will keep a bad relationship together or destroy even one that God has chosen for the two to be together for life, because of disobedience to God.
The non-Christian doesn’t care, this is why it is forbidden for Christians to date or marry a non-Christian, but the Christian knows there will always be consequences to sin now and later if they don’t repent (turn from the sin and cease that sin).
However, remember this, premarital sex (Fornication) is NOT the unforgiveable sin, if we ask Jesus to forgive us (Repent) He will and forget it, but this also means we don’t sin and expect Jesus to forgive us or go back to that sin again.
Hebrews 10:26 “[The Just Live by Faith] For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,”
Some believe they can live together outside of marriage and still be Christians. This is FALSE TEACHING and NOT from God’s Word. All premarital sex or living together outside of marriage is sin against God and Christians can’t continue to sin and also be a Child of God, NO EXCEPTIONS!
