A body of a woman aged 30 years from Ghana, Wassa Saaman in the Wassa Amenfi East District of the Western Region was found exhumed and raped on last Thursday. The body had been buried about 3 weeks earlier.
The cloth and underwear which were used to cover the private parts of the deceased remains (Maame Ajoa, popularly called Maajoa) was found removed by malicious people dubbed ‘Sakawa’ who are believed to have lust for money and blood.
“So we are suspecting that the purported ‘Sakawa’ boys might have raped or had sex with the corpse.”
It is believed that the ‘boys’ raped the dead body and left it without burying it again.
“When we were burying Maajoa, we covered all her body except the head, so it’s strange that the cloth covering her private part has been removed and her legs wide opened.”
The remains were later reburied
