Tanzanian music stars Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have sparked speculation and excitement after announcing their breakup, only to reconcile just days later. The pair, who have been dating for three years, made headlines when Zuchu shared a statement on November 12, revealing their mutual decision to part ways. The Sukari hitmaker described their split as amicable and focused on healing and her career moving forward.
In her post, Zuchu expressed: “After three years of dating, Nasib and I have positively decided to call it quits. This was a mutual decision from both parties. We do have an upcoming project, so don’t be surprised when it is released. I wish Simba the absolute best. I am asking my good people for your endless positive support as my main focus now is healing and my career.”
Despite the breakup announcement, just days later, the two were seen together, sharing fun moments and traveling in the same car. Zuchu posted a video of herself with Diamond, suggesting that they had resolved their issues and were back together.
Baba Levo, a close friend of Diamond, confirmed the reconciliation, stating that the couple had worked through their differences. “Diamond said he can’t be without Zuchu. We sat as a family, and Diamond apologised for his mistakes, and Zuchu also apologised for hers. Currently, they are on good terms and enjoying themselves,” he said.
The reunion has sparked mixed reactions from fans, with many expressing their confusion over the sudden change. “They will confuse y’all till you learn to mind your business,” commented one user, while another remarked, “Love life ya bongo ni uwongo,” suggesting that Tanzanian celebrity relationships are often unpredictable.
Interestingly, Zuchu had previously made it clear that she would not have a child with Diamond unless they were married. During a concert, when Diamond playfully asked her when she would bear him a child, Zuchu responded with a cheeky question of her own: “When will you marry me?”
