Kikuyu movie commentator Dj afro who was banned by KFCB, will play a big role after he was signed by Netflix.
DJ Afro’s Kimonda programme got banned alongside two other adverts raising eyebrows about content aired during watershed hours.
“The rationale behind content regulation is to promote Kenya’s culture, moral values and national aspirations and to ensure that children are protected from premature exposure to harmful and adult content,” said KFCB CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua.
Netflix Kenya announced DJ Afro after they had picked DJ Fish who they reluctantly shot and demoted.
